The Space Store Space Agency and Wagon advise you to become EGG! -Crazy-astro ... the 21st to February 27, 2011
An event co-organized by the Planetarium de Vaulx-en-Velin, the Confluence Museum, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, the Astronomy Club of Lyon Ampère and the association Planète Sciences Rhone-Alpes, funded by the City of Vaulx-en-Velin, with support from the Rhone-Alps and the Rhône Department.
It is sponsored by astrophysicist Michael Broke the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris.
This festive event will bring together researchers, artists, amateur astronomers for dance and circus, films, debates, lectures, music, exhibitions ...
A plurality of viewpoints to "say otherwise" the Universe. The aim of this festival is to popularize the major themes of astronomy and research in the fields of astronomy and space and actors the lead, inviting scientists to share their knowledge with the public. Artists bring a sensitive perspective on the sciences, diversified approaches for the debate and make them accessible to all ...
For this edition, gravity is in the spotlight!
A force of nature that we all experience everyday ... Since Newton, we know the concept of gravity. His equation does it not send into space rockets, satellites, and men? But what about the infinitely small? She exerts a role on subatomic particles? Did effects and are they measurable ? If electromagnetism, one of the other forces of nature, has the photon as a mediator, what is the severity? The hypothetical graviton? Gravitational wave detectors such as Virgo, built near Pisa should enlighten us on this. And beyond the solar system in the infinitely great, the scale of galaxies and super structure of the universe, what is its role? Is she alone can explain our observations? Does it act the same way as ordinary matter is dark matter? What role does it play in accelerating the expansion of the Universe? Gravity causes many questions, astrophysicists and physicists are constantly studying to better understand the complex mechanisms.
Oufs Astro'll get back to you to take stock of our knowledge and our doubts on the subject by inviting scientists to these questions. Many artists were also invited to discuss the seriousness otherwise, in their own way. Point of equations here but just gestures, beauty and perfection of movement. By their sensitivity, they challenge us and force us to rethink our own body in space. These moments of poetry and grace force us to focus on ourselves, to revisit our feelings, become aware of the places in which we operate.
Shows, exhibitions and conferences Oufs Astro are free and open access.
